    Greetings from Southern VA

New pryofan forum member here. I grew up with fireworks, and have gotten the bug again the last few years. I am just a hobbyist. Traveling to SC to pick up fireworks was a pain and expensive. Luckily a friend and I found Spirit of 76 online. We couldn't believe the markup in retail stores! It has been great being able to enjoy our hobby without breaking the bank. Last year I purchased one of the cheap remote firing systems. What a difference watching the show from a distance and firing with the push of a button made! This year I took advantage of Cobra's Black Friday sale and joined the big leagues (for a backyard enthusiast anyhow). I have been experimenting with scripts and can't wait till I have another opportunity to put on a show.

Welcome! I'm from Virginia Beach and also own a Cobra. Bob is right, MAFF (Mid Atlantic Fireworks Festival) is a great time with lots of fellow pyros, both professional and backyard enthusiast. You can just sit back and check everything out, or get your hands dirty helping setup one of the many shows.
