    Texas Birthday Party Set-up

This is the set-up video for a birthday party I shot last night, Jan.5, 2019, in Kendall County, Texas. They had a pro videographer record the display so when that video is available I will post it. We set it up between 3PM and 6PM and shot it at 12 midnight precisely. That was 6 hours of fun waiting on a desolate hilltop in nowhere Texas! I smoked cigars and played Words With Friends...

Is this the B-day party that I heard about on another forum? If not pyro B-days seem popular down that way.

With friends that setup a show for your birthday ya need more of them! Birthdays or friends, lol

I only posted at this forum.
The party was for a guy with a disease that should have claimed his life years ago. The fact he has survived this long is a HUGE cause for celebration for his family and friends. So they pulled out all the stops on this birthday. He loves fireworks and had no clue we were shooting them. You can barely notice the house and the party barn across the canyon, 1400 feet away, in the video. Some of the family were moved to tears by his reaction.

Tripods make set up SO much easier. Standing up to land cues beats the hell out of stooping down on the ground. There’s another video on my youtube channel titled “Cobra module on a tripod” that details it a little more.

    Re: Texas Birthday Party Set-up

    That’s cool!

I did some stuff at a friends one 3rd of July out of state with a planned shoot on the 4th the next day in my home state. It was a celebration of a retired sheriff from the area for him and his family. He was chair bound, but could still use the Cobra. I let him have the honor of firing some of the items.

It really seemed he enjoyed it and so did his family. He passed away a few moths later and I was contacted for copied of the videos I had. I was more than happy to share them with his family.
